While in New Orleans I observed the Go On A Trip Bring Your Kid A Present Tradition. I grabbed her a shirt with gators in purple tutus and ballet shoes – which she thought were dragons in princess dresses. I also grabbed her a mask.

She thought it made her look a little like a dragon after she saw the first photo of herself. I suppose I could see some Malificent there. She proceeded to roar at us and then demanded we all take turns. Needless to say, it was a fun day coming home.

On Monday, she went to her school and demanded that she be allowed to show it off to her friends. Apparently, soothe daily report card informed us, she was super excited to show her friends and helped them all to try on the mask.

So, you know. Good gift, good child, verklempt father. Talk amongst yourselves.
